Ocean Cinematography Series

An Evening of Ocean Storytelling

Experience a powerful celebration of ocean culture, creativity, and the people who dedicate their lives to capturing the sea’s spirit. Bringing together acclaimed and emerging ocean cinematographers for an unforgettable evening of film, conversation and connection.

This special event honours the storytellers who help preserve our coastal stories through their lenses—while also shining a light on the next generation of ocean filmmakers.

MC extraordinaire

Matt Chojnacki—better known as Waxhead—will be guiding the evening as MC. A familiar and respected voice within surf and ocean culture, Matt brings warmth, insight, and genuine passion for the sea to the stage. As a longtime advocate for surf storytelling and community connection, his presence sets the tone for a night that celebrates not just films, but the people and stories behind them. With Matt at the helm, the evening promises to flow with authenticity, humour, and deep respect for ocean culture.
